Hata-Dental Assistant
Hata is a Registered Dental Assistant with 7 years of experience. In 1997, Hata moved to the US from Bosnia. She still has a little bit of an accent to prove it. She graduated early from high school and completed her assisting degree at DMACC. Hata is an excellent cook! Our office loves it when she brings in stuffed peppers and Baklava. She is married to Edin and has a very sweet little girl named Selma. With her family, she enjoys watching movies.
Q: If you weren't a pediatric dental assistant, what would your occupation be?
A: A flight attendant.
Christine-Dental Assistant
Christine is a Certified, Registered Dental Assistant. She obtained her bachelors degree from Iowa State University. Pat and Jen are still trying to convince her that she is a Hawkeye! Christine attended SEP high school and has lived in Altoona for 23 years. She now lives in Runnells and loves being out in the country. She enjoys traveling, being outdoors and spending time with friends and family. One thing Christine has learned throughout her life is to live life to the fullest and don’t get caught up in the little things.
Q: Why did you choose pediatric dentistry?
A: I love working with Children, it is very rewarding to go home knowing I have helped many children throughout the day.
Q: If you weren't a pediatric dental assistant, what would your occupation be?
A: A professional singer.
Marcy-Dental Assistant
Marcy is a certified, registered dental assistant with over 30 years of experience. She grew up in Des Moines and now lives on a farm near Mitchellville. Marcy and her husband Gerry have a blended family of five children. They also have four grandchildren that keep them very busy! Family, friends, gardening, crafts and cheering on the Cyclones are her favorite pastimes. GO STATE!!!!
Q.What would you do if you weren’t a certified dental assistant? A.I would own a gift shoppe.
Pam-Dental Assistant
Pam is a Registered Dental Assistant with 14 years of pediatric dental experience. She grew up in Moline. Illinois and moved to Altoona in 1985. Pam and her husband Ed have three children. They all graduated from South East Polk High School. Pam likes cooking and spending time with family and friends. she also started Scrap booking with her friends.
Q: What would you do if you weren't a certified dental assistant?
A. A Radiologist or a Baker.
